Elements knock
Toe with it
Wind arrived wearing
one mitten.
A fern leaned sideways.
The wind leaned back.
Three puddles opened
for business.
A snail rented one.
The sun fell through the
clouds wearing suspenders.
A lizard unfolded a beach
towel.
Cold came around carrying
a watermelon.
Fog wandered in looking
for its glasses.
The trail disappeared.
Then came back wearing
mud and moss in its teeth.
A leaf stood on tiptoe.
WHOOSH.
The air went barefoot.
See you on the trail. 🐾
dirt first
everything else is a surprise
