🌀 Spunky Mind Tricks
Clouds move
Sky stays weird
A cloud rolled in carrying
enough gray for an
elephant's back.
Rain gave the afternoon
duck-shaped hats.
A thunderclap startled
its own eyebrows.
The wind came through with
its pockets turned inside out.
The sky cracked an egg.
The cloud wandered off.
Blue was still there,
knitting a giraffe.
Apparently, the sky
hadn't gone anywhere.
“It waits, as waits the sky
until the clouds go by.”
— Henry David Thoreau
