Somewhere drifts
Pack lightly
A crooked stick washed up
on the beach.
It carried one blue seashell
briefcase, a postage stamp,
and a seaweed bow tie.
Apparently, it had plans.
A wave rolled in
raising foam eyebrows.
The stick rolled over.
The postage stamp
looked delighted.
Another wave arrived.
The stick left.
Well.
That cleared up nothing.
